Create a partition to install Redcore

  • Depending on the partitioning system you have on your PC (desktop, laptop or notebook), you can create a separate partition, or you can install Redcore alongside your system;
  • Create a new partition using GParted if you have another linux on your PC or use KDE Partition Manager from your LIVE device to install Redcore;
  • For those using GParted;

  • For those using KDE Partition Manager;
  • If you have a single hard disk, the partitioning system will be like: sda1, sda2, sda3 … and if the partition table is MBR, there can be made only 4 primary partitions, in the picture below you can see partitions made for those who still use Windows;

  • When using GPT partition table, you can make more partitions, if there is a second hard drive, the partitions are called sdb;

  • Next HDD … or USB sticks, will be SDC, SDD and so on …
